Should I take my bun to the vet for sore hocks or do these callouses appear to be normal?

Is there a decent chance my bunny has sore hocks? She’s had these spots for a while, but I never seriously considered sore hocks since it seems like she doesn’t have any exposures.

She’s a 3 year old free roam holland lop. Her entire area is carpeted and she also spends a lot of time on my bed. She doesn’t seem SEEM to have any pain, as she’s able to jump 2-3 feet just fine and she likes to run around. Her normal hop also seems normal. Her litter box is just hay and litter, no grating.

It’s hard to get pics since my bunny is scared of my camera, I hope these will do!!

    That’s normal sore hocks.

If they are bright red or have scabs then you should get a vet’s opinion (most vets I’ve talked to will let you send pictures) and they’ll give you a cream or something.

I try to sneak a bit of Vaseline onto mine’s once in a while.

As everyone else has said, those look like regular some.

Those are definitely sore. Very common. I like bag balm personally. It’s very soothing and helps to ward off any potential infection.

My bun’s looked just like that and the vet said because they’re light pink and dry it’s not currently an emergency but to keep an eye on them. I bought carpet padding to put under my carpets, and added padding around the litter box for softer jumps, and they went away in a few weeks
