New bun mom here. Had some questions about smoke/vape.
Today I realized vaping around my bunny is bad. I have an air purifier that I always keep in the same room as me or the bun, but I’ll be keeping the vapor away from him now.
However, I also got to thinking about my neigh-boor who lives on the other side of the duplex. She smokes weed, and at night I frequently feels that the closet in my bunny’s room smells faintly of weed. I keep his hay in there (sealed and also double sealed in a plastic freezer bag from Aldi), and I’m wondering if that’s why he doesn’t like to eat it???? Could that smell be affecting? Or would it have to be the smoke itself?

Hello! Thank you for not vaping around your rabbit any longer. An air purifier in the same room is insufficient at reducing the harm and please refer to past subreddit posts such as this heartbreaking PSA:

I personally do not know enough information on weed, the fumes, nor the effect on rabbit hay if permeating through apartment walls. So hopefully someone else can help add some clarity on the topic.
