A few years back I was raising rabbits chickens and quails full time. I had the rabbit pen inside the chicken coop. Wasn’t having any luck with the rabbits getting pregnant. I decided to open the rabbit pen and let them run freely inside the chicken coop. The birds and bunnies got a long just fine. Then the rabbits started burrowing under a large pile of deck boards I had piled next to the coop. All of a sudden one day their was a baby bunny in the coop that seemed to have come from nowhere!!! No other babies did I find from that first litter, Dad must have gotten to them.
This video shows me making several attempts to monitor the second litter and get some footage on video. Dad is locked in his cage at this point so we don’t lose any babies. This litter produced 8 babies down in a den, made by Momma bunny.
