It probably is nice because its cool., especially compared to carpet floor.
I made the intial mistake when getting my newest rabbit to lay out a soft flooring because i thought he would like it, but i noticed that he was restless changing positions constantly. So i took a couple pieces out and he stopped laying on the soft floor entirely.
Thats also why i alwys recommend getting a stone slab for bunnies to cool of on if they want to.

I dunno about rabbits but I have two cats that I find sleeping in the weirdest positions, but they sleep for hours like that, so it must be comfy.
