This has been going on constantly for hours. Should I separate tonight or let them be?

Both around 4 months old, not fixed yet. The F(brown) is typically the dom and I don’t see this type of behavior from the boy often. My main concern is it’s nonstop from the boy to the point the girl can’t eat or drink without having to hop away. We only have 1 litter box/feeder but I’m sure I could come up with something if necessary. They’ve been sleeping together for the last 2+ months with no issues.

Thanks for any advice!

You are going to get babies if you don’t separate them. 😬

Edit: Get the male neutered he will then stop mounting your female rabbit and there will also be no erasers to worry about… YAY! 🥳 Getting male rabbits fixed is easier than the females anyway because the ovaries are so small on them. Just know though that rabbits are a high risk during surgery since their little hearts sometimes can’t withstand the anesthesia that well.

But your little buddy would probably feel so much better after the surgery with having all that sexual frustration in him gone. Good luck OP to you and your furry babies! 😉🍀

Stop now. If you don’t end up with an injured rabbit you will certainly end up with babies.

separate! rabbits sexually mature very quickly. you’re going to end up with babies to rehome!

start consulting with a vet about when your rabbits will be mature enough to be fixed. this is important for both rabbits, since it improves quality of life for both genders and prevents sex-specific health conditions later in life. notably, unspayed females are at high risk of uterine cancer.

Thank you all! We had been planning on getting them fixed soon but we will expedite the process 👍🏼

Stop trying to bond them until he is neutered and then *wait 4-6 weeks* after the surgery or whatever the vet recommends for his hormones to settle and his ability to get her pregnant goes fully away before trying again. You can keep them in x-pens near each other though. The actual mating is very fast and you may not even realize it happened until your girl has babies.

Separate them. Rabbits can have 2 liters at once as they have bicornuate uterus & it can be EXTREMELY dangerous. Nevermind raising babies is not easy at all when it comes to rabbits. Separate & get him fixed!!! Does should never be left with unneutered bucks.

I had the misfortune of my female rabbit neutering the male herself after mating. A man I knew that raised rabbits said that it happens more often than people might think.

If they’re 4 months old, you best get ready for babies. They can get pregnant YOUNG. They can also carry two litters at a time, and get pregnant literally immediately after giving birth.

Bro why is this even a question?😭Yes, definitely separate them until they have their surgery! Not only is he harassing the female, which will make her irritated, hungry cus she can’t eat, tired cus she can’t sleep, and potentially injured if they fight, but also babies. They sexually mature fast

Separate them for sure and get them neutered.

I had a make bunny not neutered. No other bunnies. The peeing was horrible. Got splashed a few times. Seperate and neuter.
