Childbirth in rabbits, as a rule, proceeds without complications. In some cases, dead embryos are found along with live rabbits. This is called maceration of the fruit. It is caused by intrauterine death and subsequent softening of the rabbit embryo. During the course of pregnancy, fetal maceration in the rabbit does not appear in any way. Macerated (decomposed) fruit comes out with the living.
