Our Newborn Bunnies have made it to Day Number 2 and we are thrilled that all 7 baby bunnies are alive and well. It’s quite normal that when bunnies are born for 1 or 2 to die, but our baby rabbits are just fine!

In today’s video we are still hands off – it’s important to leave them for the first couple of days and not handle them too much. We are bonded with the mama rabbit and she trusts us a lot, but we don’t want to get in her way.
Did you know that mom rabbits only feed their rabbits once or twice a day? They don’t lay down with them like a cat or dog might, but instead stands over them, lets them feed briefly and then she’s off, leaving them alone until the next feed. She certainly keeps a close eye on them and checks in every now and then, but she won’t spend time with them between feeds! Feeding normally happens in the late evening when mama rabbit knows it’s quiet, but every now and then we sneak a peek. We’ll see if we can catch it on video!
Have a close look at our newborn bunnies – can you see their colors starting to come out? We thought we had 1 black and 6 ginger, but we’ve discovered that a lot of them have white as well! I can’t wait to see them when they’re all fluffy!
