Hey Lorelei I actually have a rabbit set up that I have been hesitant to send you a picture about mainly due to the fact that it's outdoors but we have a reason for it. You see our rental restrictions state that we would have to pay a costly fee to have my rabbit named Stella in the house. So we have some reserved space in the patio outside and we have her in a 8×8 chicken Hutch followed by an exercise pain on the inside so it's double locked and this way Predators like Hawks can't get inside. Then we have a bug zapper on the outside so that potentially harmful insects Get Zapped. Stella does make a huge mess a lot but we do our best to clean it up at least once a week. Admittedly the setup isn't perfect but, let's be honest, no human being is going to be perfect. It's currently a little messy right now so before I send a photo of it over I want to make sure it's all clean first

Don't use woodstove/smoking pellets. These are typically special woods for food or fuel and come with the associated special price: expensive.
Get Horse bedding pellets, since they're not going to call them Rabbit bedding due to demand, you can find these at like a D&B for practically a steal. A 40 lbs bag should be less than $10 (got one recently it was about $8 but I'm in a cheap area) and will last months considering it's a small bunny and not a horse.

I got a bunny a year ago and he is in a X pen he gets to play in my room all day he only goes in it at night or if I’m going somewhere The only reason he goes in it if I’m sleeping or going somewhere is because we have big dogs and I don’t want anything to happened to him ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

hi lorelai! i got my dream animal, a mini lop bunny! his name is Jet, and he lives full time in an X pen, but when he is fully litter box trained, he will be free roamed in my room and parcially free roamed (with supervision) around the rest of the house!
i like the rabbit owner let them run outside and when they do blinkys ….happy come to my mind ……. love it when i witness something like that….❤🎉❤🎉😂🎉😂❤❤❤❤❤
I hope the bunny that’s in the garage is placed inside the home with the rest of the family. And I hope the person that has a bunny inside of a cage with a wire bottom throws that cage away and offers a play pen. A side note: instead of “owning a bunny,” it’s about “taking care of a bunny.” Instead of “owner” we are a “guardian.” How can we possibly own another living being?
My fav was the one with the hutch as home base but door always opened. I believe any animal that's free roamed should have a space they can consider their home base. where they can go to feel safe.

I had to euthanize my 11-year-old childhood Dutch rabbit, Chip, on Friday. It all happened so suddenly and just completely broke me. I literally cannot stop crying. Your videos are bringing me so much comfort in this moment and are single-handedly helping me get through it. You’ve made such an amazing difference in the rabbit world. Thanks to you, I was able to give him the incredible life that he deserved. Lorelai, thank you so much for everything.
I am concerned about the bunny in the garage. They were talking about it being warm… that is what I am concerned about. Rabbits respond far better to cold than heat. The ideal temp for a bun is like 60 degrees F. I worry about the sweltering temps harming or killing the bun.
The Rugs honestly concern me. Especially the synthetic ones. Rabbits can get obstructions from them
When did you first get a bunny?
I feel like a lot of what you're saying is condescending – despite most of it being accurate. Just being honest. You may be right on a lot of what you're saying, but your delivery is kinda stuck-up. I am relatively new to your videos so forgive me, maybe I just haven't had enough time to form a fair opinion…but how long have you had rabbits in your life?
I believe that bunnies should have the absolute best, as do most viewers of this channel. However, a good portion of people may be unable to fully provide what you deem "acceptable"…but I personally believe that even though one might not be able to dedicate their entire home to their bunny (for several miscellaneous reasons) – I think that a safe, warm, and loving environment is way better than the shelters many bunnies would end up in if it were a requirement to adhere to your standards. Bottom line is, not everybody has the same abilities (space, money, etc) to provide exactly what you deem acceptable. I Acknowledge that bunnies are one of the most special things in this world & deserve the absolute best — but I don't believe one should have to make their entire home available for the bunny for it to have a warm, safe, and loving environment. It is ideal & I applaud you folks who are able to do that. But people who do the best with what they have, provided it is safe and loving, and are being fed an optimal diet– is way better than the amount of bunnies who would not have a home if your standards were a requirement. Me personally, my bunnies are free roam & have complete access to my house. But it wasn't always that way. I've had bunnies since I was 4 years old – I'm 36. I am a vet tech in Wisconsin. I work with all animals, but Bunnies are extremely special to me. Let's just say I've seen it all. Through that time, I have learned that it's not the amount of space they want…it's the ability to access their loving "parents" for love and affection that they seem to crave above all else (except for treats 😊). The safety concerns that you have pointed out in this video, I agree wholeheartedly. But I think it's important to clarify to your viewers that their time & the love they give their bunnies are Paramount.
Most of these habitats shared this video is a million times better than some 3×4 cage on a farm or in a shelter.
I commend all of you for doing your best for your bunnies. After all, it's obvious we all want that for them. 🐇

I'm really concerned about a rabbit living in a WARM garage. That sounds like a recipe for heat stroke.
The automatic watering bowl I saw is a BIG must have if you have rabbits or cats or both😊 I use 2 in the house so rabbits and cats have plenty of fresh clean water. As we all know rabbits need a lot of water and the auto watering bowls will give you several days of water saving you some time. Rabbits and cats pretty much wont drink dirty water either. This also helps increase water intake for your buns!
