Hello,
My old man is almost 11. He isn't eating as much as he should (1/4c pellets that he'll maybe finish by the next morning, hay all the time, and then fresh veg at night). We've had to do more critical care (CC) by syringe feeding in the last year and he hates it (valid feelings as I've only fed it to him bc in gi stasis events). I have noticed that he's much more like his younger self for a few days to a week after he's had critical care though with binky and more energy overall.
My question is: those who have had buns this old, I've read that CC as part of their normal diet. How do you all feed them? Do I potentially stress him out and feed him a small amount CC everyday?
Is there any other things I should be aware of as he gets oder? He has some arthritis which we are keeping at bay with oxbow joint support vitamins but he otherwise doesn't have anything chronic as far as I know 🤞
Thanks for your insights and experience
