Thank you to everyone who chimed in on my post about this little cutie we rescued yesterday! He was found in a friend’s yard several days ago and nobody claimed him, so we went and got him since we’ve owned and fostered many bunnies in the past.
He is now at home with us and he is such a friendly and energetic little guy! He’s hopping onto our laps and licking us a bunch. He thumps or nudges us when we stop petting him. He is especially fixated on grooming my partner’s beard. He hasn’t shown any hint of aggression. I honestly expected him to be much more reserved or guarded in the beginning, but he might be the most extroverted bunny I’ve ever met!
Thankfully he is flea free! A few hours after arriving at home he began eating and pooping normally. We will get him a vet appointment to get him checked out, vaccinated, and neutered as soon as we can. Then we can work on litter training him and eventually work up to free roaming. He does not appear to have ever been litter trained before, and I anticipate that being a challenge before he’s neutered.
Anyway, everyone meet Krówka! (Little cow in Polish, also the name of our favorite candy. We will probably spell it more closely to Kruvka for the vet so they’re not completely baffled when it’s time to read his name out.)
I will definitely be posting more picture updates as he acclimates and gradually turns white 🙂
