At the moment I’m redecorating my bedroom, and I already got an antique table and an old rug. I also wanted to get an old closet, but someone just pointed out to me that old furniture may contain arsenic (and lead?). I never thought about it before, but immediately I worried about my rabbits. They are usually free roam throughout the entire apartment, but I wonder if them chewing on antique furniture could be dangerous? Does anyone else have antique furniture and rabbits? And is there anything I can do to make it safe, maybe adding a top coat of something? P.S. they haven’t been near the old furniture/rug yet, so they are fine, just want to be preventive. (:
