I just bought 3 pounds of them and they came into today and got to looking and found out despite being called Timothy hay, they include Alfalfa and I don’t know what percentage- but I’m so sad, my bunny is still under a year old but this is a staple enrichment item for them that is much more affordable than oxbow hay toys especially since my bunny goes through one per day! It’s been less bad for my bunny because they had been having them at the stage where Alfalfa is important, but now we have transitioned fully to non-Alfalfa hay and in July they will be a year! So it could have been much worse if I discovered later!
I’ll see about SPS’s hay cubes but my bunny doesn’t like them as much probably now I’m realizing because they are probably 100% Timothy hay
I wanted to warn people though who missed it since that means my bunny has been consuming a lot more calcium than I realized- this will be the last batch they will probably get to have 🙁
