Hi bunny lovers, so i have a bunny of 3 months and i bought the oxbow alfalfa hay(pic 1) and a “premium” alfalfa hay (pic 2) as the main hay for my bunny. So right off the bat, you can see that the premium alfalfa hay has a much thinner stem and way leafier than oxbow’s alfalfa hay, i was curious as to why the difference in appearance and was wondering if there are any difference in the nutrients (fiber etc). I thought it was just a difference in the cut of alfalfa hay. So i went to ask the seller that sold the premium alfalfa hay and was told that alfalfa hay aren’t differentiated by cuts and also this was what they told me regarding the nutrient difference (pic 3).
Can someone enlighten me whether this is true or not? I can’t seem to find an answer on google.
