OK, so I have a bunny now… I don’t wanna know what else to say because this is like 100% short notice but to summarize it I found one of my neighbors baby bunnies that somehow got outside and for about two or so days I was taking care of it while attempting to find its owner because I could 100% tell she was somebody’s pet not a stray or a wild one and eventually, I thankfully did find out. It was my neighbors bunny, and I brought her back to them and after that… My neighbor offered me another one. I don’t know how many animals they have, but they supposedly have a lot lol and they just casually asked if I wanted one
I was kind of shocked and didn’t really know what to do so I said sure and I’m not even joking. Less than a day later they showed up at my doorstep holding a bunny and some food so now I have a baby, I’m not fostering this one accidentally since technically I asked for her but still!!
Now I’m not going in 100% blind thistime I know a few of the ins and outs, but not everything obviously because I suddenly acquired an entire living being less than 10 hours which is why I’m probably gonna post on here a bit definitely not daily but if I have any questions or updates, I’ll put it here just so I can keep track of things and not have to frantically search up the same topic five times because I forgot if something was a good treat or incredibly toxic (this is an exaggeration I looked it up before I fed her pretty much anything besides water and even then I looked up what temperatures were the best)
For now I just have her set up in a small corner of my room where I’m pretty sure she’s chill. I blocked off anyway to get out besides my bed, which is pretty low to the ground so she might be able to climb over it, but I’m not too worried about it considering I’m on my bed and she’d have to get past me first
it’s not that fancy or anything just a cardboard box to keep her from going out a plate for food and a bowl for water some plushy’s for if she gets bored and a pee pad in her crate so I don’t have to constantly wash the blanket under her though I’ll have to get more tomorrow because I obviously can’t use the same one long-term or even more than like two days at most not even that probably but yeah I think she’s OK. She isn’t really tense or anything. I honestly think she’s about to fall asleep, but she has been mostly chilled since I brought her up to my room since it is quieter and I am able to keep a close eye on her from in here without having to go up and down the stairs all day lol
But yeah, any advice is good advice as long as it’s actually good… Please be nice. I genuinely I’m trying my best. Sorry if I overtype I am nervous and also trying to get her used to my voice so I’m using the microphone..goodbye
