My older rabbit, 2 years old, used to live by herself, but I got a bunny to be her friend. At first, this bunny was a male but when I took him to the vet to be neutered and the doctor has told me it’s actually a female. This made things harder because I already have a female and the bonding is very difficult when it’s two females.
Once they started fight so hard that I thought they would never have this connection that many rabbits have between them. But after 4 weeks Felícia got neutered I started bonding them.
It’s been 2 weeks and they are almost best friends. I want to do it slowly, without traumatising them and myself as Frederica (older rabbit) has attacked her once.
The only thing that keeps me worried now is that Frederica likes smelling and biting Felicia’s ass and she runs from her.
Im travelling in a month and a friends will take care of them, I hope I can keep them in the same area till April.
