If you have both, how'd you get them to coexist?
A few years ago, when we lived in a condo, my boyfriend got me a dog. Apparently we were supposed to ask the other tennants first, so we had to give the dog to my boyfriend's mom.
It ended up the best thing that happened to me because six months later we got the rabbits 😊
Now that we own a house though, my boyfriend wants to bring the dog back. I don't think it'd be right to take that dog from his mom and I don't want to traumatize the rabbits since they've never known dogs and they free roam.
It also feels wrong to tell my boyfriend he can't have a dog though, so…
How do you boy a dog and rabbits? Or at least keep the dog from terrifying/eating them?
Are there any small dog breeds that get along best with rabbits?
Would it be best to get a puppy so it learns early? The other dog is 4, is that too late to teach him if we did go that route?
I'm afraid I'd go to work and come home to a rabbit loss. If you have both, do you leave them together while you're gone?
