My boy Dilly here (Holland/lion head) came to me from a rescue that took him from a hoarding situation where he got virtually 0 attention and was kept in a screen porch away from people. He's been super skittish for the few years I've had him, but is slowly coming around. I'm ok if he wants to be a mostly look and don't touch pet and never wants to be a cuddler.
Today, for our monthly deep grooming/nails/flea meds session, we had a first! He didn't pee on me! He was certainly happy to be returned to the floor when it was all done, but I'm elated to think we may be approaching the end of his "o no, I'm off the floor, I need to terror/anger pee on everything" phase.
He got an extra apple slice for his good behavior. ♥️
