Poop problem

Hi everyone,

I’m having some issues with my fur machine — disguised as a rabbit.

She’s an angora, rescued and probably not from the best breeder. Recently she’s been having trouble keeping herself clean, and a lot of poop gets stuck in her fur. Professional grooming helped, and for a while it seemed solved, but the problem has come back.

I’m thinking that maybe because she’s getting older, she can’t clean herself properly anymore. Every other day we have to cut a significant amount of poop out of her fur next to the… well, the "exit".

The droppings in the litter box are solid and look normal, but a lot of it still sticks to her there. Before we started to go to the groomer, all her fur used to be full with droppings, but that part is solved. There isn’t long fur left around the area anymore, so I’m not sure why it keeps happening.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Any advice on what might be causing this or how to manage it long-term? She hates baths and bit me while we tried, and I don't want to torture her with that.

Thank you for and idea!
