My dear cheddar has sore hocks. I’ve tried all sorts of bunny shoes , hock socks, trimming his nails, ointments, and they are still pink and raw. They are not infected or open wounds but I need to prevent them from getting to that point 🙁
He was a free roam bunny in my terrazzo (basically cement) floor house which is probably the cause, however I’ve locked him in just one room with rugs all over. I call it his padded cell. He’s been in here one week and they seem about the same. No better no worse.
I feel so guilty locking him up because he loves to interact with everybody and run around, but I need to fix this sore hocks situation before it gets worse.
He’s a 1.5 year old English angora. Any tips?
