As title states, are dried and sanitized (in oven or freezer) porcelain berry vines safe to use as chew toys for bunnies? I neglected my garden last year and a bunch of invasive porcelain berries grew along my fence, now I’m left with a really huge bundle of sticks and I was thinking it would be great to make some woven toys for the buns if it poses no risk.
Couldn’t find anything online about whether or not the dried vines themselves are okay or not, but did see that wild birds and small mammals alike eat the berries and leaves. So I’m assuming it’s fine as long as I take sanitizing precautions, but wanted to double check if anyone has related experience or input.
