Tidy home vs. bunny life – Is it possible?

I’m getting my first bunny in two weeks and went to visit him yesterday to see if we clicked. He’s so cute and I’m really excited! I’ve done a lot of research, but there’s one thing I can’t find a clear answer to.

I’m someone who really values a tidy home. I already have guinea pigs, so I’m used to some hay and small mess that needs vacuuming. But I’ve read mixed opinions about rabbits — some say they’re very messy and you just have to accept a less tidy home, while others say you can absolutely keep things clean and manageable.

The bunny I’m getting is a 7-month-old neutered male. The owner says he’s very tidy and litter trained. When I visited, he was a bit shy and mostly sitting still, but he came over for pets a few times. At one point he was eating and using his litter box at the same time.

Realistically — can I have a tidy home with a neutered male bunny, or should I expect a lot of mess?
