My sweet elderbun Eleanor most likely has a thymoma. Her symptoms so far have been pretty minimal so we are just keeping an eye on it, but we have been told that if it starts to impact her more significantly then the primary treatment option would be steroids.
I want to do whatever is going to keep her comfortable, while recognizing that she is 11 and she can't take too many more hits to her quality of life before we would need to make some hard decisions. So most likely we would at least try the steroids if it comes to it, but she has had two bouts with e.cuniculi, with some permanent issues as a result, and I worry that steroids may suppress her immune system and cause another e.cuniculi flare up, possibly making her even worse off than she would have been with just the thymoma.
Has anyone had experience giving steroids in an e.cuniculi bun?
