Hey Reddit! I was wondering if any of you have advice, here is the situation:
I have 2 rabbits Jack(white) & Sally (grey). I took them into the vet the other day and they had a clean bill of health. However the vet advise that Sally should lose a little weight and Jack should gain some. Neither were unhealthy just on the high end and low end of healthy weight respectively.
The vet recommended to feed them separate since Sally tend to be the more dominant of the two and our suspension is Jack is just letting her eat more of the food.
The issue: I’ve been trying to feed them separately but they both stop eating after a few bites when they realize the other isn’t with them. This morning BOTH of them ignored their food for over an hour to the point I needed to leave to go to work. They normally eat from the same bowl together (they both have a bowl they just eat one then go to the other🤷♀️).
Any advice would be helpful and appreciated!!!
