i’m adopting this handsome boy at the end of this week. they said he’s neutered, fully litter box trained, 3 years old, and a flemish/nz mix. they said he’s calm and confident but doesn’t like being picked up for long. i ordered an xpen for him to start out with but i want to get to free roam eventually. i haven’t had a rabbit in years so ive been trying to do a lot of research. they said he doesn’t like other buns and has tried to bond him with a couple and he will be aggressive with them. in the past i’ve always had 2-3 buns at a time if i’ve had any at all. i’m home 90% of the time so i figured i could give him a comfy home for his situation. they also said he was previously in a home with dogs and was fine with them. i have 2 male rats and a dog. he’d never be around the rats and never unsupervised with the dog but my dog LOVES small animals or getting him wouldn’t be possible. ••• i guess im wanting tips on getting him to trust me and tips on working up to fully free roaming the living room eventually. (this is my first time adopting a bun and not having them since a baby).
