Hi, I’ve had a male rabbit for two years. I haven’t neutered him because I don’t have any other rabbits and I’ve read that males don’t have as many health risks as females.
He is very friendly and affectionate, but over the last few weeks he has also been behaving a bit more aggressively and frequently sprays me with urine. I think I should neuter him, but my parents are against it. Money is not a concern for me; I’m afraid the surgery could go wrong when my rabbit is currently healthy. Also, in the past he had a bladder stone due to my irresponsibility and already had to undergo surgery.
As fellow rabbit owners, what would you do in my situation: leave him as he is, or try to convince my parents that neutering is the right thing to do?

I neutered my boy when he was 9 or 10. Best decision. Would’ve done it sooner but I think my vet was to cautionary about anesthesia
I would definitely get him neutered, it will help with behaviour issues, potty training, and reduce the risk of cancer

Always. He’s still at significant risk of testicular cancer, though the risk is lower than reproductive cancers in female rabbits.
Ensure the behaviour change is not due to health or environmental triggers.
Neuter if the behaviour change persists after ruling out all other triggers.
