the fur will come off it little flakes (kind of like the ones that come from rabbits cheeks) but that can get pretty thick sometimes ?? like a callus & he doesn’t really itch them or seem irritated by them , I’ve had him for seven years & he’s always gotten these , but sometimes he’ll groom himself & wipe off a flake that wasn’t ready to come off ( kind of like pulling a scab too soon ) & i’ll have to make sure to put some antibiotic on it
the little patches that look purple on his ears are where new growth is coming in from hair that came off previously
the vet has taken a biopsy of it to look at it under a microscope before & it was just dry skin , no mites or anything … could he be having a yeast infection or something like that that flares up sometimes ?
the vet has given me cbd balm in the past , I’ve tried chamomile ointment , antibiotic , it just keeps the skin from getting so dry but it doesn’t cure the actual cause
