Basically only posting here because none of my friends have rabbits so don't really get it but my little Lola Bean had her spay surgery yesterday and I'm just so happy and proud of her.
The vets had to keep her longer than usual because she wasn't as active after coming round from the anaesthetic, which naturally made me super nervous. I dropped her off at 7.30am and couldn't pick her up until gone 9pm. I was so nervous to get her spayed (even though I know it's what's best for her) the thought of losing her was unbearable but the thought of not getting her spayed and risking cancer and potentially not knowing about it until it was too late was worse.
She took a little longer to start having nibbles of food but I think part of that was that the hates the car and always takes a few hours to get over it, even after routine vet visits. She's eating a little more now and is more active than yesterday.
I even slept downstairs on the sofa last night so I could keep checking on her. Safe to say I am TIRED as I didn't get much sleep the night before either as I was nervous.
I'm just so incredibly proud of my brave, strong girl 💖
