I have two buns, Honey (white) and Bun Bun (white and brown), and we have a schedule. I go to school, so when I'm getting ready, they're out for an hour every morning and then in their cages. When I get back, they free-roam until I go to bed (12 or 1 am, T.T). When they free roam, they like to pull my carpet and ik it's because they're bored. What can I get so that they're not bored? They mostly lie down half the time, but they do have little binkies, and like getting random bursts of energy, so I know they're not super duper bored to the point of not doing anything.
I have cardboard they can chew on and hay in their cages. Also, a little box castle thing and a cat tunnel, but what else can I do for them?
Also, I need some cage ideas. I have both in large dog kennels, but they're able to free roam all the time, especially on the weekends. They're females and not neutered yet; they don't fight, and they sleep/lie together comfortably, and sometimes groom each other. Ik they're not bonded, and when they do get neutered, I'm going to try and rebond them when they're healed if that makes sense. If that still doesn't work, then I'll just have to keep them seperate maybe? They're both a bout 10 months to almost 1 year now i think. I got Honey from a farm store and Bun Bun from a "farm".
I tried to give them a big area with the X-Pen stuff, and we even got a gate/dog pen thing so they can't jump over it, but Honey was still able to jump over the top, and it was a hassle to clean. I didn't have anything strong enough to cover the top that they wouldn't be able to get through, and when I used a metal cover that had little rectangular-shaped holes, Honey got caught in one of them. I was able to save her, thankfully, so that's out of the question fs. Their cages have enough room to flop and lie on their tummies, so it's not a cramped itty-bitty thing.
But what can I do for them so they're not bored and they can have a cute/better cage area?
