This has been a super easy bonding experience. Bo (left) was rescued from our local shelter after being in a home where bunnies were attacking each other, damaging his ears.
If you recognize Nugget (right), she had a terrible fall in August: https://www.reddit.com/r/Bunnies/s/b19d26Yegz
That said, she has been to the vet recently with a clean bill of health!
So far Nugget has mounted him a few times, but nothing highly aggressive. He’s also been like “🤷” when it happens.
Otherwise, he’s been grooming her a bunch recently and it’s been so joyful. We really wanted Nugget to have a bunny partner since she’s been solo from July 2021 until now. She will be 8 next month and seeing this bonding has brought renewed happiness for the home.
Bo is delightful, loves pets, and does everything to annoy his older sister, but I don’t think they’d have it any other way. One thing though is his scent has a strange hay-chemical tinge. Not sure what that’s about but we love him either way!
