Took our baby (5.5 years old) to the vet for a routine check, and the vet was very concerned about the abscess found in her lower left jaw. He wants to extract all her lower left teeth and drain the abscess from the inside.
I have been doing an insane amount of reading in here about care for tooth removals and what to expect. My biggest worry is having to remove more of her teeth down the line. Has anyone had a bun that is OK with missing 1/4 of their teeth? Or is it going to be a situation where we keep going back and getting more teeth removed? I am okay with taking her for frequent dental trims (I’ve seen lots of posts about doing this). I just worry about putting her through more surgeries after this one.
She is super energetic, snuggly and eating fine. So it really bums me out to start her on a path of surgeries and struggles out of nowhere. I just want to make sure I am making the right choice.
