Rabbit

I stole my daughters bun

I went to stay with my daughter for a few months. She had adopted Daisy a few weeks prior to my arrival. To help out around the house I took over feeding the pets. She had 2 dogs, 2 cats and a baby bun. I was amazed at how confident Daisy was around the cats and dogs. We developed a routine where Daisy would follow me around until I went to the fridge to get her a fresh berry. She didn’t like to be picked up, so in order to give her pets I would put her daily greens on my chest and she would have to come within cuddle range to eat them.
When it was time for me to leave my daughter told me about how bunnies bonded and that Daisy bonded to me.
5 years later she is my best friend and I could not imagine living life without her. I would have never adopted a bunny on my own. She chose me and I’m so grateful.

Awww. I bet a pet free home is also better for her stress wise even if she got along with the other pets. How lovely of your daughter to recognise your bond

Last photo is clearly Queen Daisy surveying her possessions.

Beautiful! I’m always tempted to do this with my Eden to deepen our bond, but she is a serial nip nipper and I’m not going to encourage it.

Who’d a thunked it. It was the  same when I inherited Benjamin when my husbands sister passed away.  He was a senior bunny and he was open to all attention and snuggles. More than my cats. We were so sad when he passed. BUT when by chance I met a man who need to re-home a rabbit. In walked Snickers to our lives. Not the snuggler Ben was but a cute trouble maker. He makes me laugh.
