Rabbit

10 week old rabbit doesn’t eat her cecotropes

She passes them every day and ignores them? I’ve never had this issue with my other bun before so I’m confused? Any ideas why?

Could be a parasite. My girl had the same problem and she had a parasite. Once it was treated for, the problem resolved

If you feed her too many nutrients she might skip her cecotropes.

Young rabbits often don’t eat all their cecotropes because alfalfa is very rich in nutrients. She is prob eating some and you don’t notice.

As long as they are well formed I wouldn’t worry. At this age she shouldn’t get treats.

Had the same problem with mine. She’s 8 months old now and the problem is gone, she learned with time
