The blonde vet at the clinic Kleintierärzte Wilhelmshöhe, sent a welfare vet our way.
We went to 2nd clinic, they said everything is possible, but when they saw Lola. They didn't want anything to do with her.
We went to a 3rd clinic in Rondorf. They took their time with my gf and Lola. Examined her thoroughly, bloodtest, xrays etc.
After a few hours, my gf was very satisfied with that clinic. They now have a proper diagnostics what is wrong with Lola.
Lola has arthritis, we knew that but never had photos how it looked. However it should not flare up like it did with Lola, it was she all the sudden wasn't able to hop any more after Rambo died. So there is something else going on.
Lola and Rodger both get another round of proper antibiotics (they had gotten the wrong kind of antibiotics from Wilhelmshöhe).
And Lola is doing so much better.
The welfare vet came by and documented our case, said we are not mistreating Lola and that she is not made to suffer. The vet in Wilhelmshöhe told the welfare office, that Lola was not able to clean herself, but Lola cleaned herself in front of the welfare vet.
We kept in close contact with the welfare vet about our visit with the 3rd vet.
We are completely transparent and gave them all the details.
We are thinking that the blonde vet at the clinic of Kleintierärzte Wilhelmshöhe, doesn't know how to treat bunnies.
She wrote in the mail, that we give Lola Metacam for a 50KG dog.
The official dose for bunnies is 1-1,5 mg/kg, the dose for dogs is 0,1 mg/kg.. so how much does a 5kg-bunny get? As much as a 50kg dog….
There is probably some things I miss as I tend to be a bit overwhelmed with all the information and the things that are going on.
