I adopted a Netherland Dwarf dude in April and then decided to bring him on a speed date with a local rabbit rescue, he picked a Rex girl and I adopted her in June. I’ve been working on bonding them and they share a fenced room. Problem is every time I have them in a neutral space he wants nothing to do with her, eventually he thumps and grunts at her, back in the room she grooms him through the fencing and I can transport them in the same carrier. But any open space together and he’s not having it.
Question for experienced bonders; after a car ride to a put them into a neutral space? I have been just putting them back I their room on opposite sides from where they were, and then lay and groom each other from their respective sides of the room.
