I just want to know why my bunnies can't be in the same enclosure anymore. I did mess up theyre bonding by introducing them before she was fixed, but after she was fixed they were madly in love for like a year. Suddenly Turbo (the Grey one) hated Cornelia. He's always had attitude but he just went absolutely buck wild on her one night at 3 am. I woke up in a panic and separated them immediately. I cried because Turbo was so depressed before Cornelia and Cornelia is literally so full of love to give she can't be on her own.
I tried completely separating them but they both got so horribly depressed. So now theyre separated by a thin gate. They cuddle next to each other and groom each other through the bars but God forbid there's not a wall between them. My theory is that Turbo has some sort of trauma. He's always been a distant rabbit and a very smart one, and, well, Cornelia got one braincell and that braincell is for eating.
She definitely has some sort of neurological problems. Nothing health related other than the glaucoma in both her eyes but otherwise shes a very healthy, very affectionate bun. But Turbo likes his space, she doesn't. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body and the fights only happen when Turbo starts them and she has to defend herself. Shell ask for licks and he seems to get mad and beat her up. Or he'll nip her backside or chase her backside til shes stressed and very upset. He's Iike a little angry man.
Im just sad about it cuz ik they want to love each other and want that companion. I dont have the heart to let them go ofc, but i just feel guilty cuz they seem more depressed then before. Just want to know if theres a reason for this. They never have boxing matches when there's a bar between them, and they seem perfectly content to smell each others scent.
