So we added a holland lop to our crazy collection of pets.
I got the same brand food and hay (oxbow) the breeder had him eating, we went through 90oz of hay and I ordered another 90oz bag. But it seemed different, like almost damp. I notice he wasn’t eating it but pulling it out of his hay feeder and picking through it. I have now noticed a sudden there are a lot of left behind cecotropes. The 1st week we had him he had lot as my daughter was over feeding him pellets. I showed her how much to give him and he adjusted fine. No more “grape poops” as my kid calls them left behind.
I got a refund on the hay and will be getting new hay today. He is pooping, energy fine and drinking well, coming running for loves. He is about to be 4 months so we have not done veggies, treats or fruit yet. Waiting for him to be 5 months old. Also will be getting him fix soon.
Was wondering if anyone had hay that just didn’t seem right before from oxbow?
