Hi everyone, I’m new here. I found this bunny on facebook that needed a new home and I’d like some help making sure I’m doing things right. They said he’s about 3-4 years old, the pet shop told them he was about 9 months old and they had him for around 2ish years. The first picture is of him and his cage set up, I only keep him in there while we’re sleeping until I can get him his playpen and get it set up for him. The second picture is the hay, food and bedding I was given and the 2 bags of treats I had bought him. The third picture is an enrichment box I made for him that has hay, some food, some treats and I sprinkled in some cilantro and it’s made out of cardboard and that packing paper. The last 2 pictures are alfalfa hay cubes and chew toys that I ordered and they will be here Monday December 1st. I have 2 cats and a dog aswell so I have been splitting the time as best as I can while letting him get comfortable and slowly introducing everyone individually. My oldest cat (4 years old) is just fine with him, my dog (8 years old) is very curious and was bumping his nose on the cage the first time he saw him so it’s been super slow to introduce them and my other cat (1.5 years old) hates him, the 2 times they’ve crossed paths (I was carrying her to the back half of the house so he could free roam) she hissed at him and would growl so they have never come close to each other. While my other 3 baby’s are in the back half of the house, hopper (my bunny) gets to roam around. I’m hoping to eventually be able to keep him out in his playpen when everyone is completely comfortable with each other but for now I want to know if there is anything else I can/should be doing, anything else I should get for him.
So long story short, what can I do better on?
What can I get to make sure he’s happy?
What other food should I get him?
Do and don’t???
Health advice is also wanted!!!
I haven’t had a bunny in almost 20 years and I want to do right by him 🥰🥰
