So my cousin recently showed me a new bunny cafe in Tempest, AZ. It features a rabbit petting zoo of what looks to be just lops. I checked out their insta out of curiosity, and I’m having a mixed feeling about it? As in, I can’t say whether it looks to be an ok business with bunny-safe practice or not? Cousin is being very kind and offering to boycott, but I have no idea if I’m just overreacting.
Among the reels, I see buns being pet while on their back, drinking from a hamster-style bottle vs a bowl, and most of the buns seem young, and are all housed together.
The owner replied to a comment chiding them about petting bunnies on their back, and replied gratefully for the info and admitted they were new pet owners.
My cousin thinks the buns look very content and happy in the reels they do have posted, and I can’t really tell myself from just the reels. Is this an ethical business in terms of bunny care that we should try and support?
