I have two buns and my roommate has two cats. One of the cats is fascinated with the hay and we've found hay in her vomit. Before that I was a bit more lax with just storing their hay in a cardboard box near the buns' home base.
I need something more secure but also more convenient. I have a 50 gal container that doesn't hold the entire bale but it can go in the closet. But the other issue is if it's not in the pen then carrying it to the pen leaves hay on the carpet and vacuums just don't work well with hay.
Has anyone found creative solutions to storing hay? If I could have it in, or close to, or above the home base that would be ideal.
