My last post showing off the babies got removed, but I saw some questions that I’d like to respond to.
The parents were dumped. I was in contact with a rescue prior to catching them who ghosted me after. I had 2 of my own buns, plus 2 that were rescued the year before, so no interest in getting more.
I live in a tiny home and am on a fixed budget. I did my best, which apparently was not good enough. I didn’t even suspect she was pregnant until a day or two before when she started pulling fur. I asked about it here, some said it could be false pregnancy. I was hoping.
Next thing you know there were babies. Parents were immediately separated, but 4 weeks later there were more babies.
As of now I have buns in almost every room. I buy 50 lbs of food at a time and tons of hay. This is not easy for me, but I’m trying to make the best of it, which includes enjoying the babies while they are here. My last post was only an attempt to share the cuteness.
I do not agree with rabbit breeding or irresponsible people who get rabbits of opposite genders without taking precautions.
