Older Rabbit- Euthanasia

Hello, first post ever on reddit, but I need advice. Me and my partner have a bunny named Linguine, or Squini. We're not quite sure how old she is- somewhere between 7-10. Last year, she was diagnosed with severe dental disease last year or so. She was a rescue (twice, once when she was first adopted, then again once my partner moved in and their family neglected the bun. No hay, no greens, just pellets.) I mention this because I heard dental disease can be caused by lack of fibre.

We made the difficult decision to pursue euthanasia. We went to the vet, and the vet said Squini has a huge abscess on her lower jaw. They offered to treat with penicillin shots, but what the vet said scared me. "We can try the penicillin shots but there is a chance you wake up and find her deceased from going septic." She also said "this is likely the beginning of the end." She also mentioned a surgery to remove the lower portion of the jaw, but stated she was uncomfortable with it morally and also in terms of expertise. We booked the euthanasia appointment for Wednesday, November 12th.

I am, however, conflicted. I know rabbits hide their pain well. But Squini has been hopping around, totally dead flopping, eating LOTS. (Total glutton.) She seems happy as can be. I may just be getting cold feet but I worry. What if she has a lot longer? I know it's "a week early is better than a day late" but what if it's months? When she was first diagnosed the vet said euthanasia was an option then, too.

I guess my question is, how can I know if this is the right thing for her?

Pics to boost. First one is how I found her this morning.
