So, I have a 9 year old bunny butt. He has always been about 80-90% litter trained. He lives in a cage (I wish he didn't but even after all this time whenever I let him out he just hides behind or under something and stays there so I guess that's just who he is). Anyway, he's been peeing everywhere in his cage. I have it lined with a puppy pad now (is that somehow encouraging it?) His poops are also smaller and it looks like he has occasional bouts of runnier poo. He still has lots of energy for binkies and eats well. Should I bring him to a vet about this or is this normal for older buns?
Photo: Krombo (Krombopulous Michael, IYKYK). He also hated it outside and just attempted to hide "behind" this tree the entire time. Didn't even nibble on the grass which he loves to eat in his cage. 😩
