My girl Persephone has a nasty dental abscess that we’re currently treating. She’s getting oral antibiotics and pain meds. At this point she HATES getting her medication and doesn’t trust anything in a syringe and squirms a lot. Yesterday she even bit me and kept trying to throw the syringe. I don’t want to hurt her and have been looking up a bunch of tips for giving her the meds in a safer, less stressful way. Does anyone have tips for giving oral meds to a spicy bun?
(She is getting medication as well as other treatment. She’s had one dental float procedure already and is getting a CT scan tomorrow ahead of another procedure to hopeful finish removing it.)
