Get him a friend if possible . Congrats on new bunnyđŸ»

  2. I would make the bun’s space bigger if you can. They need more space to move around. I’d also add a “hidie” (some type of hiding space – even an upside down box with entry ways cut into it will work). A dog’s exercise pen (available on Amazon or chewy) works great. They’ll also need more Timothy hay. If you have any questions feel free to drop me a DM and I’ll be happy to provide some guidance.

Hi congrats on your new bun. This set up is very small. I would head over the r/Rabbits sub where they have “new bunny owner guides” there.

I suggest taking away that carrot. Carrots are very sugary and should only be given in very small amounts as an occasional treat to rabbits that are 6 months or older. Baby rabbits have very sensitive stomachs, so they can get very sick from eating sugary things.

Other than that, the space needs to be bigger. You also need to add a couple of hides with two entrances and a litterbox with appropriate rabbit litter and alfalfa hay (if your rabbit is under 6 months old) or grass hay (like timothy hay, orchard grass hay, meadow hay or oat hay) if your rabbit is over 6 months old. Some toys would also be good to add. For more specific inform about litter, food, toys and general rabbit care, check out the [Wabbitwiki.](https://wabbitwiki.com/wiki/Getting_started_with_a_rabbit)

  5. Let Oto free roam as much as possible. Split-length cable is essential. Spend time on the floor with them, at their level. – you’ll find encouragement and communication much easier there. You want two hay boxes, one for eating, one for pooping. And get over the idea you’re an *owner* – you’re a *guardian*, with responsibilities. Rabbits are wonderful companions when you get round to their way of thinking. Their whole life depends on you, and that’s a big task, but can be one of the most fulfilling friendships you’ll ever have.
