i just lost my bunny waffle today.
I dont even know how to process this because it was so unexpected. My mom was giving the buns some food and my other rabbit Benji came quickly to snack on some lettuce and Waffle who usually also comes didnt come. My mom then went to check on him and found him lying on his side, already in heaven 😢. I had never seen a dead rabbit before and was so sad. And finally my mom bought him outside and I went to see Waffle's body. I cannot describe the level of sadness and grief I experienced.
Waffle was the most well behaved bunny. He would always let you pat him and never bite or run away. He was such a good bun and I will never have one that even comes close to him. It was just so unexpected losing him and I think that has been the hardest part of trying to deal with his death. He was doing so well and jumping and running around and suddenly he died. He was also eating well so I am so confused as to why he died. I had only had him for two years so he was basically still a baby to me.
So I want to know how did you guys deal with losing your bun (if you have)? and what is some advice when mourning?
I also want to know about what I should be looking out for with his partner Benji who was always by his side. And how she will deal with his death?
