I have grown up with rabbits when I was younger, and had my first big guy from the age of 9-18 years old, he was my first real companion and rabbit that knew me in and out, he was my best friend, 2 years ago (im 29 now) I introduced my girlfriend to the idea of having a rabbit after we both were wanting to have pets, long story short, we adopted an abandoned satin/rex and the day we went to see which bun was up for adoption he immediately picked my gf, we weighed the pros and cons of taking him home, and 4 days later, we went back to see him and he ran to my girlfriend like they were long lost friends asking for her attention and overall intrigued with her, 2 years later, this relationship we have grown is so similar to my relationship with my dog that passed away after 8 years, this guy is so loving, smart and listens to us when we get his attention, after having him we have developed sleeping habits together where he asks for rubs and falls asleep with us, sleeping all night on the bed with us, he will greet us at the door when we come home, he is literally my previous dog in a rabbits body, I want to see if anyone else understands these feelings we have with our big hearted guy and experiences the same thing, the idea of him growing old is the hardest thing to imagine since he is so full of life and loves to a level I couldn’t ever imagine this type of animal having, if you are considering a rabbit, please do make the leap because they are such beautiful beings that will teach you new things with their personalities every single day, we also have a beautiful mini lop female which is daddies girl, but our boy is such an absolute gem, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out, I can answer all questions and guide you through any situation!
