Meet chester and eevee, we rescued eevee nearly 2 years ago and with the living arrangements and knolage we had at the time we we weren't ready for 2 rabbits and we didn't understand just how important it is for their mental health. We then got chester Bunnington off pets for homes from a lady who like us was feeling bad for having a lone bun and realised other animals like cats and humans are no replacement for the love a rabbit can have for another rabbit, chester and eevee first met in our garden and didn't really pay much attention to each other which we had been told was a good sign, after a few rocky meetings after the first date we were made homeless (because we had rabbits that we declared) we found other loving accommodation straight away which helped the bond as eevee didn't like him being in her space and annoyingly the whole house was her space, once we moved and it was neutral we reintroduced them living side by side in our room under our loft bed. After about a month or so of side by side living and monitored together we now have these 2 loving buns that don't want to leave eachothers side.
Getting eevee her friend was worth every moment of stress from losing our home and moving house with 2 buns would do it all again to make sure my bunny's receive all the love and respect they deserve 🙏
