For context: my friend rescued a bunny from the street. I noticed said bunny had a watery eye, so we took her to the vet, thinking it could be an infection. An x-ray and ecography later, turns out she has dental malocclusion, which caused an infection behind her eye. She has an abscess behind her right eye, which pushes her eye forward, and that's why she has a watery eye.
The vet recommended surgery, in which they remove the eye to get to the abscess, plus deal with the teeth.
I've been trying to get a second opinion about the treatment options (if there's any), specially the eye removal surgery, but so far I haven't been able to get to another bunny specialist.
Has anyone dealt with something similar? Anyone has any advice on which subreddit to ask for help?
I'm so worried and sad for the bunny 🙁 She's the sweetest.
(Ps The photo is from when we took her to the vet. Since then I've cut her nails).
