Ducky will be 9 this coming spring, and his age is starting to show… recently, whenever he jumps in or out of his cage, his feet have been hitting the bar under the doorway. He just can’t quite make that jump anymore. I had my dad cut off that bar to shave off an inch or so from the height (don’t worry, I made sure the edges aren’t sharp). I dread the day I’ll have to cut that part of the base off when he can’t jump it anymore… but he’ll always be my baby boy!
