Problems with two female rabbits bonding again after 6 years together

Hello,
I’ve got my rabbits for nearly 8 years now.
I didn’t know before that bonding two female rabbits was the worst case scenario.
My first rabbit was bought from the store and is the sweetest girl ever (7,5 y.o.) and my second girl is adopted (7 y.o.). They were both neutered at least 6 months before they were introduced.
They are together since 2019.

At first I was having huge problems with bonding them because my adopted rabbit is very territorial but we somehow managed to and they were bonded after month or two with a few nibbles every once in a while, nothing serious.
After nearly 6 years together my first rabbit began to feel very sick – stomatological problems and rhinotomy in June this year (2025).
After the rhinotomy they were seperated (one rabbit in cage and one free roam – I swap them daily to give them proper activity) and still are to this day.
I can’t let them both out because I fear the adopted territorial one will bite to death my other rabbit. She even tries to bite the toes and ears of my second rabbit locked inside the cage. She feels really aggressive towards the other one.

I really don’t know what to do because my sick rabbit is terminally ill (palliative care) and won’t get better until she dies so the scenario to wait till she’s healthy to bond them again is off the table.

I asked veterinarians but they don’t know what to do because they are not behaviorists and I don’t have any in my area (and also don’t have money for one rn because of the condition of my rabbit who devours all my savings).

I’m really desperate because I don’t want them to live separately to the end of their lives and want them to feel the love of the other rabbit again.

I’m adding photo of them when they were still getting along at the beginning of this year.

Thanks for all the help and if you have any questions to this situation I will happily answer!
